thankful

knocking at my lungs,
jealousy is here, hungry for growing pains

acknowledging its presence,
i feel my lips stretching softly

understanding the true message of this coming,
my mind slowly finds itself in peace

and as i let this feeling starve and walk away,
i can feel my mental joints starting to ache.
